Israeli settlement excluded from AirBnb's list
Airbnb, the online home-sharing provider, will remove all settlements in Israel from occupied West Bank. The US-based organization said on Monday, the decision was made because the settlement was the main reason for the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. This information was released on Tuesday in the BBC Online report.
Airbnb welcomes this decision Palestine On the other hand, Israel is unhappy over the decision. The official said the decision was "shameful" and they will take legal action against them.
In a statement on behalf of Airbnb, the US law allows companies like us to do business in this region. At the same time, the world community thinks that companies can not do business here. They believe that profit is not possible in a place where people have been expelled.
According to international law, settling settlement on this disputed West Bank is illegal. Airbnb has been criticized by Palestinian authorities and human rights organizations for putting Israel's settlements on the west coast. Then they made the decision.
Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Secretary General Sayeb Eckat said, "It is very important to follow the international law of Airbnb. Because, Israel has occupied the West Bank. Even in Jerusalem, which is illegal and involved in war crimes
Israeli tourism minister Erav Levin said they will file a suit in the United States court.
