3 killed in grenade attack in religious ceremony in Amritsar
Three people were killed in a grenade attack during a religious ceremony in Adilwal village of Amritsar, India. At least 10 people injured in the incident. The attack took place on Sunday in a function organized by anarchist community in Amritsar of Punjab Amritsar.
NDTV Online News reported that the identity of the attackers could not be retrieved. The people have been attacked by bikes. Three people were killed in the incident. The injured were sent to hospital quickly. It is suspected that militants might have been involved with the incident.
Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has announced compensation for the incident. He announced compensation to the families of the deceased, Tk five lakh.
Initially, two people came to motorcycles and left some explosive near the intangible building. At that time there were some religious rituals going on. And after that the blast happened.
All the security agencies have been asked to remain alert after the incident. CCTV cameras have begun to detect the attackers.
