Skype off in the Country
Internet-based communications in the country can not be used on Skype. There has been allegations that the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has stopped Skype. The service has been discontinued on Monday, BTRC sources said.
But no one is officially acknowledging the issue. Asked, BTRC Senior Assistant Director (Media and Publications) Zakir Hossain Khan said that due to technical difficulties Skype may have been closed. The matter is being investigated.
However, Skype closure in the telecommunication sector has been confirmed. As well as customers have said they can not use it.
