Google's Action plan is Published to Prevent Sexual Harassment
The US-based technology firm Google has announced a detailed action plan including forced sexual harassment and sexual violence against the employees of the organization as an alternative to forced settlement.
Earlier on 1 November, some senior officials had protested against the allegations of sexual harassment of colleagues by Google staffers. On that day many employees of the organization left the work and came down the road. Google employees working in the United States, UK, India, Japan, China, Singapore, and several other countries are involved in this protest. Apart from sexual harassment at work, they also protested against institutional discrimination, racism, and unauthorized executive power.
In view of this incident, Google's Chief Executive Sundar Pichai announced the action plan. On Thursday, the company said that if co-workers are accused of sexual harassment, they will change how they will be dealt with. In a message to the employees of the organization, Pichai said, "We will move forward through bringing more transparency in solving its concerns regarding sexual harassment."
Pichai said Google will release more details about the investigation and consequences of sexual harassment. At the same time, this will improve the concern-solving concern. The complainant of sexual harassment that will be assisted by him, will also be arranged.
Google said that their staff will now have to take training every six years instead of sexual harassment every two years. Sundar Pichai said, 'We will update and compulsory expand this training.'
Google says they will publish the organization's internal harassment, discrimination, and its privacy policy publicly. In a New York Times report earlier this month, Google's Senior Vice President Andy Rubin has been accused of sexual harassment. Google goes by pressing it down.
